No Child Goes Hungry (NCGH) is pleased to provide a $300 donation to The Children’s Learning Center (CLC), a non-profit organization based out of Jackson, Wyoming that supports the development of the whole child through early childhood care and education, early interventions, and access for all. The funds will be used to support CLC’s goal of providing 50 meals a day, five days a week, for four weeks to children in need.
No Child Goes Hungry is a key partner in helping children in need in our community where families are losing money and food every day because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jason Bruni, a representative from CLC. “With our current system, we deliver meals to 88 kids per day. The support of NCGH and other donors is helping us to scale and expand our offering to more families experiencing food insecurity. I believe it’s the small organizations working together that will make the biggest difference in communities of need when this is all over.”
According to Kären Rasmussen, NCGH Founder and Director, the partnership with CLC represents one more critical step toward providing crucial funding to those on the front lines of battling hunger in our communities during the COVID-19 crisis.
One thing that we have learned helping to provide thousands of meals to children across 16 states is that local non-profits and small grassroots organizations lead by passionate people can make a significant impact. We are thrilled to partner with CLC—our first in the state of Wyoming—to help get healthy foods into the hands of those who need it. Let’s feed some kids!”
