No Child Goes Hungry (NCGH) is pleased to provide a supply of non-perishable food items and baby supplies to the LindaBen Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to be a haven for the homeless and underserved community in Maryland by uplifting their conditions and providing wraparound services founded in love and friendship.
The LindaBen Foundation offers home delivery services for food and toiletries and family stability housing support to the Howard County Public Schools System’s (HCPSS) families in transition.
“We also support families from Prince George’s County Public Schools through their Adopt-A-School program, and we host a monthly food distribution effort to the City of New Carrolton,” said Annabelle Beavan, LindaBen Foundation Founder, and President.
Beavan adds that the LindaBen Foundation’s Feeding Program aims to provide healthy food access for families greatly affected by the current COVID-19 health crisis.
“We choose low sodium and low sugar products and produce for our food distributions,” said Beavan. “Unfortunately, most of the families we serve don’t have enough time to create a healthy meal. Part of what we deliver to them are grab-and-go meal options that can be easily re-heated and some hot meals, especially for seniors and families with children. We are grateful to No Child Goes Hungry and their support as we work to ease the pain of hunger in our community. It takes a village—and a miracle—to help end hunger.”
“The mission of the LindaBen Foundation inspires us all to support and uplift our underserved communities,” said NCGH Founder and Director Kären Rasmussen. “I am astonished by their reach. From their partnership with local schools to supporting individual families to single mothers and the homeless, they are truly living their mission and caring for everyone in their community that they can support. I’m glad for the partnership and the terrific impact that the organization is having in its community.”
